1 Call or email by 10am weekdays (excluding weekends & holidays) so we may provide same business day response.  All services listed are provided by BestPCTech® onsite unless otherwise stated.

 

2 We offer maintenance & repair solutions by designing a service agreement to keep your computers running smoothly and efficiently, saving you time and money. Please email our sales department for further information.

 

3 Hourly rates are for onsite computer service labor only and are billed in half hour increments after the first hour. These rates do not include any parts or software. If you supply the hardware and/or software you assume all responsibility for the functionality of said hardware and/or software. In other words, if your hardware and/or software are defective, you must still pay for the technician's time.

 

4 We do not charge "Travel Time/Mileage Fee" for service calls within a 25 mile radius of our office.

 

 


**Service Terms & Conditions:

PHONE &/OR EMAIL SUPPORT

(A) Services: BestPCTech® will attempt problem diagnosis and a solution over the telephone for an applicable fee. In certain cases, however, problem diagnosis and support may not be completed because of a problem with your computer or its configuration that is beyond our control and may result in an onsite service call for additional charges.

(B) User Responsibility: You understand and agree that prior to contacting or allowing BestPCTech® to perform diagnostic repair on your computer, it is your responsibility to back-up the data, software, information or other files stored on your computer disks and/or drives. You acknowledge and agree that BestPCTech® shall not be held responsible under any circumstance for any loss, alteration or corruption of any software, data or files.

ON-SITE SERVICE

(A) Scheduling: Standard service hours are Monday-Friday, 7 AM- 7 PM. Additional charges may apply for service outside of standard service hours and additional charges will apply for rapid response services.

(B) Service Area: BestPCTech® sets the service area for the Tampa Bay Region. If a location lies beyond our standard service area, additional trip charges may apply. To determine if your location is within the BestPCTech® standard service area, please inquire at the BestPCTech® website for a map of our Service Area or contact us for information pertaining to standard Service Area and applicable trip charges.

(C) An Adult Must Be Present At The Residence or Business: For on-site services, a person of at least 18 years of age must be present during the entire time period services are provided. IF THE BestPCTech® TECHNICIAN AND/OR AGENT ARRIVES AT THE SCHEDULED SERVICE TIME AND NO ADULT IS PRESENT, SERVICES WILL BE DENIED AND A $75 CANCELLATION CHARGE WILL BE ASSESSED.

(D) BACKUP YOUR SOFTWARE AND DATA: IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO BACK UP ALL SOFTWARE AND DATA THAT IS STORED ON YOUR COMPUTER'S HARD DISK DRIVES AND/OR ON ANY OTHER STORAGE DEVICES YOU MAY HAVE PRIOR TO THE ARRIVAL OF THE BESTPCTECH® TECHNICIAN TO YOUR HOME OR BUSINESS. YOU ACKNOWLEDGE AND AGREE THAT BESTPCTECH® SHALL NOT BE HELD RESPONSIBLE AT ANY TIME FOR ANY LOSS, ALTERATION OR CORRUPTION OF ANY SOFTWARE, DATA OR FILES.

(E) MINIMUM SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS: (For Wireless Home Networking Only)

(E1) All computers to be networked must have a minimum of 500Mhz Pentium II Class CPU, 15MB of hard disk space and at least 256 MB of RAM.
(E2) Passwords for operating system and ISP must be available at the time of service. You can change them when the technician completes the service call.
(E3) Microsoft Windows 98 SE operating system or greater.
(E4) Operating System disc and Key Code must be available at the time of service.
(E5) All computers and/or peripherals to be networked must be in good working order, virus & spyware free.
(E6) For all broadband installations, the broadband services must be installed and operational prior to the time of service, including connections to any broadband modem.
(E7) For narrowband (dialup) sharing,
BestPCTech® does not recommend sharing this type of connection.


(F) Access: The Best PC Tech Agent must receive full access to the computers and/or peripherals to be serviced, access to your residence, your consent and cooperation to enter your residence or business, and a safe working environment, working space and electrical power. IF THE BEST PC TECH AGENT ARRIVES AT THE SCHEDULED SERVICE TIME AND DETERMINES THAT HE/SHE DOES NOT REASONABLY HAVE THE ACCESS, COOPERATION, OR SAFE WORKING AREA DESCRIBED IN THE PREVIOUS SENTENCE, THEN SERVICES MAY BE DENIED AND A $95 CANCELLATION CHARGE WILL BE ASSESSED.

TERMS APPLICABLE TO PAY FOR SUPPORT AND IN-HOME SERVICES:

LIMITATIONS TO SERVICE: BEST PC TECH RESERVES THE RIGHT TO REFRAIN FROM PROVIDING ANY OR ALL SERVICES ORDERED AND INSTEAD REFUND THE CUSTOMER'S PAYMENT, WHOLLY OR IN PART, ON THE BASIS THAT THE MINIMUM SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS ARE NOT MET OR THE TECHNICAL NEEDS (INCLUDING WIRING OR OVERCOMING PHYSICAL OR TECHNICAL BARRIERS) OR OTHER REQUIREMENTS OF THE CUSTOMER ARE UNUSUAL OR EXTENSIVE AND BEYOND THE SCOPE OF THIS SERVICE AGREEMENT AS REASONABLY DETERMINED BY BEST PC TECH AGENT AND/OR ITS SERVICE PROVIDER.

FORCE MAJEURE: If Best PC Tech's ability to render services is impaired by you or circumstances beyond the control of the Best PC Tech service provider, Best PC Tech and/or its service provider may choose not to provide services.

LIMITATION OF REMEDY: UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHALL BEST PC TECH BE LIABLE TO YOU OR ANY OTHER PERSON FOR ANY DAMAGES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, EXPENSES, COSTS, PROFITS, LOST SAVINGS OR EARNINGS, LOST OR CORRUPTED DATA, OR OTHER LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF, OR RELATED TO, THE SERVICES PROVIDED BY BEST PC TECH OR OUT OF THE INSTALLATION, DE-INSTALLATION, USE OF, OR INABILITY TO USE YOUR COMPUTER EQUIPMENT, HARDWARE, PERIPHERALS, OR THE NETWORK RESULTING FROM THE SERVICES PROVIDED HEREUNDER.

RELEASE OF LIABILITY: BY SUBMITTING THE 'CONTACT FORM' &/OR EMAILING US FROM THE 'CONTACT US' PAGE OF THIS WEBSITE, YOU AFFIRMATIVELY RELEASE AND HOLD HARMLESS BEST PC TECH OR IT'S AGENTS FROM AND AGAINST ANY LOSS, LIABILITY, OR DAMAGE THAT YOU OR THE OWNER OR LESSEE MAY SUFFER, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO ANY LOSS OF ANY DATA AND THE NON-FUNCTIONING OF ANY COMPONENT OR ELEMENT OF YOUR COMPUTER EQUIPMENT OR PERIPHERALS RESULTING FROM BEST PC TECH AND/OR ITS SERVICE PROVIDER, REGARDLESS OF THE WARRANTIES, DISCLAIMERS AND WAIVERS.

CHANGES, CANCELLATIONS AND REFUNDS

To change your order you must contact BestPCTech®.

You may cancel your order if you give BestPCTech® at least 24 hours notice prior to the scheduled performance of services. Cancellations must be completed by calling or emailing BestPCTech® within the stated time limit. If you fail to contact BestPCTech® within said time limit a $95 CANCELLATION CHARGE will be assessed.

If you are not satisfied with your service: Please contact BestPCTech® for resolution. We stand behind our Pay for Phone/Email Support services for 3 business days. We stand behind our On-Site Service for 14 days. If there is a problem with the service we provided and you notify us within the stated time period, we will work to remedy your problem quickly and at no additional cost provided the problem is directly related to the service we rendered.

BestPCTech® refers to a line of technology services provided by Best PC Tech which is a Florida based Company (all subsidiaries and affiliates of Best PC Tech Company are referred to as "BestPCTech®"). Any reference to BestPCTech® in these Terms of Service is a reference to Best PC Tech Company.
